BANGKOK, Thailand — July 16, 2025 — Infineon Technologies, a global leader in semiconductor solutions, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Thai Embedded Systems Association (TESA) to establish a National Secure Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) Platform. This strategic partnership aims to harness the power of Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things to drive technological advancement and enhance industry competitiveness in Thailand.
The National Secure AIoT Platform will drive the development of high-value smart electronics with the latest cybersecurity standards, aimed at benefiting crucial industries in Thailand’s digital transformation. These industries include national security, healthcare, agriculture, energy, smart cities and Industry 4.0. The partnership will also work closely with local startups and academia, fostering knowledge exchange and innovation that align with the national vision for a technologically advanced future.
“We are excited to partner with TESA to create a robust and scalable AIoT platform that will pave the way for innovative solutions in Thailand. This collaboration not only underscores our dedication to driving digitalization and decarbonization, but also supports the Thai government’s investments in the AI, IoT, and semiconductor sectors,” said CS Chua, President and Managing Director, Infineon Technologies Asia Pacific.
“We are deeply honored and excited to collaborate with Infineon, a global leader in semiconductor technology, to develop Thailand’s National Secure AIoT Platform. This partnership will enable Thai engineers and developers to create innovative products from the ground up – from hardware and firmware to complete AIoT platforms. Our collaboration addresses three critical impact pillars: Security-First design aligned with international cybersecurity standards, high-value Edge AI products with advanced capabilities and secure firmware stacks, and ultimately, a National Secure AIoT Platform that will serve as the foundational infrastructure for various platform services. This will directly benefit key industries that have significant impact on Thailand, ASEAN, and the global market,” said Associate Professor Wiroon Sriborrirux, President, Thai Embedded Systems Association (TESA).
The collaboration reflects Infineon’s commitment to supporting Thailand’s ambitious goals in technology and innovation, while promoting technology self-reliance. By leveraging cutting-edge semiconductor technologies such as Edge AI, the two organizations will work together to foster an ecosystem that encourages the development of secured, scalable AIoT solutions tailored to the needs of the Thai market.
The signing of this MoU represents a follow-up to the earlier agreement established between Infineon and Thailand Science Research and Innovation (TSRI) in February, further strengthening the semiconductor ecosystem in Thailand and reinforcing the country’s role as a leader in the AI and IoT space.
